Update - March 2, 2021:
Governor Gregg Abbott today issued an Executive Order (GA-34). This order rescinds most of the Governor's earlier orders related to COVID-19. Effective next Wednesday (March 10), all businesses of any type may open to 100% capacity. Additionally, this order ends the statewide mask mandate in Texas. Businesses may still limit capacity or implement additional safety protocols at their own discretion.
However, the new covid cases posted on CDC website are still alarming. To slow the spread of the disease, CDC recommends the use of face masks as the first prevention method. In line with CDC guidance, the face masks would remain mandatory until CDC considers it safe without the masks.
Let's each do our part to protect each other and help stop the spread of COVID-19.

Update - May 18, 2020:
On May 18, 2020, under Executive Order GA-23, Governor Greg Abbott lifted the order on Massage Personal-Care/Licensed Persons, Tattoo Studios/Permanent Makeup, etc. effective immediately. Everyones safety is our top priority. As we resume the service, we would take necessary steps including more frequent vigorous cleaning, making sanitizer available for clients, and watching our clients for signs or symptoms of illness at the entrance. To protect ourselves and our loved ones, and to continue fighting this pandemic, we are requesting our clients to follow a few guidelines including following Minimum Standard Health Protocols by State of Texas prior to leaving home, coming alone (no family members or friends that are not receiving services), wearing mask inside the building, and to disinfect hands upon entering the facility.
We look forward to welcoming you!

Therefore, as of April 1, Gold Permanent Makeup's Allen location would be closed as well until further notice. All affected clients are being contacted to cancel their appointments at this time.
We would reopen both location after the coronavirus pandemic is overcome, and the federal, state, and county level restrictions are lifted.

Update - March 28, 2020:
Addressing the spread of COVID-19, Collin County has enacted a "stay at home/work safe" approach which stops short of full shelter-in-place policy observed by Dallas and other major cities.
Gold Permanent Makeup Allen location, therefore, will remain open and appointments would be scheduled accordingly. In order to maintain the 6 ft distance, no visitors would be permitted in the room with the client (who is receiving the permanent makeup service).

Update - March 24, 2020:
We are closely monitoring the changing coronavirus situation and are taking appropriate steps to limit impacts to our clients and service professional. To reduce the spread of COVID-19, Denton county has issued a stay-at-home order that will go into effect at 11:59 p.m. Wednesday, March 25 . The order means residents can leave their homes only to shop for food and other needs, while non-essential business must be closed. The non-essential businesses include massage parlors, salons, barber shops, tattoo and piercing parlors, and all other "non-medical, personal care services that cannot be provided while maintaining six foot distance," are ordered to close. The mandate will last for seven days unless ratified or extended by the county Commissioners Court.
Thus, Gold Permanent Makeup's Denton location would be closed until further notice. All affected clients are being contacted to reschedule their appointments to Allen location or to cancel, if they prefer.

We are also closely monitoring and following guidance and advice regarding this illness from the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). We already had robust quality assurance and safety standards in place that exceeded the requirements by Department of Health & Human Services. Now, we have taken additional following preventative steps:
- Vigorous cleaning and sanitizing of surfaces across both the Allen and Denton facilities including, but not limited to, door/handles, chairs/bench surfaces, table tops, all equipment (machines, computer, tablet, etc) and supplies.
- Making sanitizers available for clients at both locations.
- Cancelling the 48-hours notice requirement to reschedule or cancel appointment until further notice. As a courtesy to service provider, clients are required to contact thru any means (calls, text, email, etc) prior to appointment.
- Watching our clients for signs or symptoms of illness at the entrance and requesting to leave without cancellation penalty, if deemed necessary. Appointment would be rescheduled later on.
- Permanent Makeup Training classes are cancelled until further notice.
