Paramedical Tattooing: Vitiligo
Vitilio Camouflage Permanent Makeup is an extremely effective vitiligo treatment. Results are instantaneous and last up to 3 years without washing off. The semi-permanent makeup pigment camouflages the white patches of skin so they blend right in with your regular skin tone.
This treatment can be performed to the face, hands, or almost anywhere on the body. Up close, it looks like a professionally applied make-up concealer but it does not smudge or washes off. It is the next best thing to a cure for vitiligo.

Cosmetic Camouflage, or Camouflage Tattooing, can help to heal the appearance of the skin as well as your spirit or self-image. The procedure medical doctors often refer to as micro-pigmentation or permanent tattooing, more commonly known as permanent makeup, has become a viable option for quickly and easily helping patients in the appearance aspect of their recovery and healing. Now there’s growing awareness and agreement among medical doctors regarding this cosmetic solution they can recommend with confidence and proven results for patients.
Have Realistic Expectations with Cosmetic Camouflage:
Choose your Permanent Makeup Artist the Same Way You Chose your Surgeon
In getting multiple medical opinions, you have learned a great deal in the process. One thing is clear: not all surgeons are created equal; not all are right for you. It is important to point out that surgeons specializing in oncology or plastic surgery, are all required to live up to the same established ethical, professional, and safety regulations and standards.
It is equally important to point out that, unfortunately, the permanent makeup industry is lagging way behind in these critical areas. For example, some permanent makeup technicians promote themselves to potential clients as being “certified.” What they do not tell you is they received this camouflaged certification after working on as few as one face. Ask questions; you have the right to feel comfortable and secure about any procedure performed on you. Remember, you’re paying for it, and it is your body.
In choosing the right permanent makeup artist to apply cosmetic camouflage on you, it is imperative to find one who has the knowledge, training, caring approach, and skills and experience you will want and need. After all, the only thing worse than having the appearance of your breasts damaged by breast surgery, is having their condition worsened by a poor camouflage tattooing performed by an inferior permanent makeup artist.
Warning: Since Texas does not regulate permanent cosmetics training or schools, there are many poorly trained and inexperienced technicians who make mistakes. If a technician has made an error on your face, DO NOT let her “fix it” by tattooing over any flesh colored pigment. Without very advanced training, years of experience and high quality of product, it will look unnatural because your skin will lose its translucency (transparency). Also, the pigment color may not closely match your skin tone (as shown in photos below). In addition, if you decide later to have it removed by a laser, the laser will turn the flesh colored pigment black.
Camouflage Permanent Makeup: The Finishing Touch
Cosmetic camouflage for scars and burns often delivers the “finishing touch” for the clients. Camouflaging any area is critical in putting the experience behind you. It can mark the end of one long or short challenging road, and hopefully the beginning of a new, happier and healthier road in your life. After all you’ve been through, it’s important to look and feel “normal” and “whole” again. Good for you.
Have Realistic Expectations with Cosmetic Camouflage:
- Vitiligo camouflage can begin once you’ve been cleared for it by your physician.
- If you do need cosmetic camouflage, it’s critical you reach a positive outcome following this process. Cosmetic camouflage can often work quite well, but it is important for you to understand that this procedure does not guarantee you will completely and instantly remove all visible signs of the previous skin condition. You must have realistic expectations.
- I have done thousands of successful permanent makeup procedures since 2010. I will not just tell you everything you want to hear to make you into a client. I will give you my expert opinion. I will also encourage you to seek other opinions if you’re still uncertain after our consultation.
