Response to reviews:
Ms. Maggie. I thought you may leave a negative review reflecting my refusal to offer you a “complimentary” service, but I didn’t expect you to go on a negative-reviews-spree within a few hours of your appointment. I have already found four (4) negative reviews from you on these sites; Google, Facebook, Yelp and Vagaro. Have I missed any other website?
You referred to your “wasted” time in the reviews. However, you conveniently forgot to mention in all of your reviews that you had requested to change the appointment not once but twice past the cancellation window and I had made exceptions for you both times. For the 3 hours reserved for each of your appointments, Gold Permanent Makeup has “wasted” a total of 9 hours and has received at least 4 negative reviews from you in return - perhaps even more. Not to mention you left all of these reviews after contacting Groupon and getting a full refund for your voucher.

Please allow me to address all of your concerns. You arrived 10 min earlier for your 4pm appointment on Mar 16, 2021 (at Denton location). I was with another client and advised you I would be with you in another 15 to 20 min. I finished with her at 4pm, then cleaned and sanitized the room - the only thing for which you gave me the credit for (covid readiness). At 4:14pm, I messaged you thru my booking system (Vagaro) that I was ready for you. When I didn’t hear from you for 4 min, I texted you at 4:18pm thanking you for waiting and requesting you to come inside. You responded that you were checking out at the store (Five Below) next door and would be there soon. You arrived about 10 min later. Essentially, your 30 min delay is an exaggeration!
You shared you had the eyeliner done 3 to 4 years ago at the business that you managed, where you setup the permanent makeup equipment and you had the permanent makeup done at “The Rxxx Salon & Spa” in Bxxxx TX. You mentioned it lasted for only 6 months and nobody can tell by looking at the pictures of your eyes that you ever had any permanent makeup done (as shown below). As I stated during the consultation, the technician must have used “invisible ink” and that may be the reason why the technician is no longer in business anymore. No customer would like “permanent” makeup that would last for only 6 months. When implanted properly, the eyeliner should be very solid 4 years later!
I do not believe there is any need for me to challenge your level of knowledge that you must have attained by “setting up the equipment” for the individual who also gave you a memorable eyeliner that lasted for a whole 6 months. However, you came back with a term, “mansplaining” as you felt I had no knowledge about permanent makeup after performing only a few thousand procedures in over a decade. Despite the specific request in the appointment confirmation email, you did not look up any information on the website. I was courteous, patiently spent time with you and went through the same information that is posted on the website to help you make informed decision for your permanent makeup need.
Addressing your primary concern involving additional $200 charge, I told you the Groupon voucher would cover a “simple” Top or Bottom eyeliner and showed you different images of the “simple” eyeliner on Gold Permanent Makeup website. However, the “lash enhancement” is clearly mentioned as an optional add-on on the Eyeliner page with numerous images and it is further again on FAQ page. Thank you for your advise in your copied/pasted review to all the readers about going thru the Gold website. The prices are also clearly posted on the Pricing page. I wish you would have gone thru the website prior to your visit and you would have not considered the overall experience a scam.
Finally, I beg to differ with your statement about being “uncomfortable from the start”. From your different last name, I learned about your recent wedding and I congratulated you on your wedding. After filling out the consent forms, I assisted you in connecting your phone to wi-fi so you could send me pictures of your eyes after your last permanent makeup, and we discussed your past eyeliner experience in detail. It became “uncomfortable” for you when we I talked about $200 “additional” cost for “additional” work.
I am sorry I could not meet your permanent makeup needs. I do sincerely hope, you would never receive multiple negative reviews from anyone as a “small business owner” when you can’t meet someone’s demand for free service(s) and that someone “waste” many hours of your precious time.
Best wishes,
Moon
